Mike Peters was at Cardiff University  with The Alarm production team recently, planning and formulating the Gathering itinerary and also setting up some additional events that will be added to the four day weekend,

The Friday night concert in Y Plas at Cardiff University is going to be something very special indeed, with Mike Peters and The Alarm promising to perform the entire Declaration album in full, along with a set list of songs drawn exclusively from the 1984 Sound and The Fury tour.

Saturday night will see the band move across the University campus to The Great Hall for a full on electric concert of Alarm classics from Unsafe Building to Forwards.

The sound and light system for both concerts will be of the highest specification utilising Martin Audio speakers that are flown from the ceiling above to achieve the best sound possible along with a multitude of special lighting effects.

Both Y Plas and The Great Hall venues are equipped with Martin Audio satellite speakers throughout, both on and underneath the balconies specifically designed to spread the concert sound evenly throughout the event space to ensure consistency of the audio experience wherever you choose to stand and watch.

Mike and the Love Hope Strength team also visited the Senedd in Cardiff Bay to discuss the Sunday Morning Walkathon and open air acoustic concert which is taking place on the morning of Sunday 21st January. Exact times for the walk and concert will be released closer to the date and will be included in The Gathering Event itinerary once published. The music part of the Love Hope Strength Gathering event will take place under the Senedd’s extensive overhanging roof so come rain or shine, it promises to be a very special event indeed.
