The Alarm – A Tele-Visual History 1981-1985 Broadcast Schedule

This Friday, The Alarm .com is proud to present the widescreen premiere of the original promotional video for ‘Sixty Eight Guns’.

Shot in and around places that The Alarm frequented during their early days in London, the ‘Sixty Eight Guns’ video takes you to scenes outside the legendary Marquee Club in Wardour Street, down into the London Underground (where the band used to busk), and finishes up at a full colour finale sequence alongside the River Thames in Lots Road, Chelsea. The original footage was upscaled and reworked for widescreen 16:9 by Gary Overington.

The Alarm.com is also pleased to release the broadcast schedule for the ongoing The Alarm – Tele-Visual History 1981-1985, which will tell the story of the band through broadcasting their international television performance and promotional video timeline, starting with Unsafe Building from 1981 to the release of Absolute Reality in the spring of 1985.

This is the timeframe reflected by the forthcoming remastered and expanded Alarm albums ‘Eponymous 1981-1983’ and ‘Declaration 1984-1985’ which will be available online and in record stores from March 16th.

The Alarm YouTube Channel will be the outlet for all of this footage, so we would like all Alarm fans to subscribe to the channel here, in order to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
