‘Guerilla Tactics’ will be available worldwide from July 7th 2008. ‘Guerilla Tactics’ is the first official general-release follow up to The Alarm�s emotive 2006 album ‘Under Attack’ which underpinned lead singer Mike Peters battle and subsequent victory from Leukaemia (CLL). This most daring of Alarm albums features an urgent collection of uptempo new wave songs underscored by high velocity guitars, rocka beats and occasional space echo dub. Lyrically driven by Mike Peters� amazing journey back to health, ‘Guerilla Tactics’ contains material personally selected from last years ground breaking ‘Counter attack Collective’ project.
‘Guerilla Tactics’ was mixed in it’s entirety by Gilby Clarke (Guns �N Roses) in Los Angeles and many of the tracks have undergone a substantial makeover and feature a considerable ammount of re-recording work by the entire band.
For the first time ever, the album will be available as a digital download direct from www.thealarm.com from midnight GMT on July 7th 2008. ‘Guerilla Tactics’ will also be available as a Double CD / DVD with a gatefold sleeve and features a 9 song ‘Guerilla Television’ DVD as part of the format. ‘Guerilla Tactics’ CD/DVD is available to pre-order immediately.
‘Guerilla Tactics’ is also being released as a digital songbook. A 48-page insight into the writing and recording of both ‘Counter Attack’ and the making of ‘Guerilla Tactics’. The digi-book has been personally assembled by Mike Peters and features chord charts for every song plus extensive ‘how to play’ hand written notes from the pen of Mike Peters. The book also features a host of photographic work plus the story behind the writing and recording of each track with reproductions of some of Mike Peters’ personal handwritten lyrics.
