A Personal Message from Mike Peters – New Dates set for The Alarm New York Gathering now taking place on June 23rd / 24th 2023 at The Gramercy Theatre, NY.
Following a consultation with my medical team at the North Wales Cancer Centre and confirmation that my treatment schedule will now continue into 2023 and beyond, means I will be having an Immunoglobulin Therapy treatment session on February 3rd 2023, so it will not now be possible for me to perform at the New York Gathering in the Gramercy Theatre on the original dates of February 3-4th 2023.
I am however, fully committed and dedicated to the new event dates of Friday June 23rd and Saturday June 24th 2023 that have been arranged by promoters LIVE NATION and The Alarm’s USA agent Steve Ferguson at Paladin Artists [All original tickets remain valid for the new dates which will be announced officially by Live Nation at 12 noon EST tomorrow here].
When in hospital recently, I vowed to myself that I would be there in NYC, but I have to listen to the doctors and receive Immunoglobulin Therapy on February 3rd, so the new dates of June 23rd / 24th at The Gramercy Theatre allow me to have the treatments that keep me alive and able to play music, and also make good on the promise I made to myself that I would one day, be strong enough to fly to the USA and perform in New York City.
I fully appreciate that plans and diaries have been centered on the original dates and can only hope that the reasons for finding new alternative dates meet with your understanding.
Since I began this new bi-weekly treatment regime of Venetoclax, Rituximab and Immunoglobulin Therapy, my blood count is now back under control and as the days and months go by, I have been feeling increasingly stronger and more confident about life. I have started running again and putting the finishing touches to a brand new Alarm album for 2023. My new vow is to make June 23rd / 24th 2023 in New York memorable for all the right reasons, and be there with you all in person to create something beyond expectation.
