Following on from the success of two complete ‘sell out’ shows this March 15th, Mike Peters will perform a very special and unique ‘3 Night Stand’ in New York this summer at the legendary Iridium on Broadway.
From Declaration through Strength and beyond Into The Poppy Fields, this 3 show acoustic gathering promises a unique insight into the creative mindset and working practices of Mike Peters the songwriter.
Saturday July 26th will focus on The Alarm’s ‘DECLARATION’ album of 1984 followed by a second set of songs from the Mike Peters / Alarm catalogue that complete the back story to this most important era in Alarm History. Tickets Available Here.
Wednesday 30th July, will concentrate on The Alarm’s second album ‘STRENGTH’ (1985), which gave rise to such seminal tracks as the title song itself and others like ‘Absolute Reality’, ‘Spirit Of ’76’ and ‘Walk Forever By My Side’. All of which were part of the group’s historic performance at UCLA in front of 26,000 fans and a first ever ‘Iive’ global TV audience of millions. Tickets Available Here.
Saturday August 9th will feature a three set all encompassing career retrospective beginning with songs from the most recent decade of Mike’s illustrious ‘Alarm’ career including ‘Love Hope and Strength’, ‘In The Poppy Fields’, ‘Under Attack’ and the controversial ’45 RPM’ / ‘Free Rock And Roll’ / Vinyl saga. The second set will be made up of songs from the Mike Peters ‘solo’ years and will draw from the albums ‘BREATHE’ , ‘FEEL FREE’, ‘RISE’ and his Coloursøund work with The Cult’s guitarist Billy Duffy before a closing third set comprising all the best songs written for The Alarm from 1981 to the present day.
