A Declaration of intent, very definate in its viewpoint andclear in its ideals. The Alarm would be so easy to ridicule if it weren’t for the unavoidable power of their songs. Anthemic but not ridiculously so, their dignity stems from factors far less obvious than a resounding chorus. Day Forty Nine : Saturday 20th July 2005 We head off to the Leckie wedding at 9 o’clock in the morning to soundcheck before the wedding guests arrive. It has been a nice distraction for us doing the Rev it has given us a break from the intensity of recording.
