Gig: 5/21/2000, Mike Peters, The Civic Hall, Wolverhampton

5/21/2000: Mike Peters, The Civic Hall, Wolverhampton

An early start and short set due to a Sunday curfew. Mike was well & his voice was struggling but he completed the show without complaint. An excellent crowd reaction from Big Country & Alarm/Mike Peters fans alike.
Steve Grantly returned on drums after a couple of nights away from the tour playing for Stiff Little fingers.

Mike's voice was totally shagged – spose 24hr dedication recording is taking
it's toll – still managed to give a Big performance though and dragged the
BC crowd into the same rousing response as from the clusters of ALaRM
faithful !

The reaction from the Big Country fans was amongst the best I've seen for
any support, and considerably more animated than at the previous
Wolverhampton show. Perhaps the farewell tour has dragged out a selection of
the older BC fans who also remember The Alarm along the way.
