The Alarm have released a nine-CD box set, The Alarm 2000 Collection. The set, available only at the ’80s rock band’s Web site (www.thealarm.com), consists of the complete recorded works of the band from 1981-1991, as well as a special “dedication” CD. In Los Angeles, Mike Peters and Eddie MacDonald record a set of acoustic demos for the next album.
Demos for the “Abolsute Reality” aalbum recorded at Ezee Hire stusios in London. They were used to lure Jimmy Iovine to produce The alarm scheduledfor January 1985. Iovone renigs, and the “Absolute Reality” album becomes a single relesed in April 1984. the new album, retitle “Strength” is recorded ith Mike Howlett instead.
