Mike Peters heads out on the road this October /November bringing The Alarm Acoustic Another Way Forwards Tour to both the US and UK, The Twenty First Century is pleased to announce the exclusive release of the Forwards – Tour Edition – Double Pack Camo Coloured Vinyl LP / CD which is limited to 300 copies and made available exclusively for sale on the tour (subject to availability), or in advance via store.thealarm.com from this Sunday September 24th at 7pm UK.
Following on from the enormous success generated by the June 16 release of Forwards, this brand new collectors edition Forwards – Tour Edition LP and CD Double Pack features all 10 tracks from the original release along with distinctive Camo themed artwork including a unique Camo Coloured Vinyl LP and the addition of two brand new tracks to the exclusive CD edition.
The brand new tracks are entitled Passover and The Last Words of Johnny Rotten (see video below). with both songs being original Mike Peters compositions written and recorded during the Forwards sessions, produced and mixed by George Williams.
“I really struggled with leaving these songs out of the original Forwards sequence,” says Mike Peters. “Both of these songs / recordings mean a lot to me and certainly in the case of Passover, connects Forwards directly to War / Omega, while “The Last Words of Johnny Rotten” describes the moment of my awakening as an aspiring musician in 1976, and the dawn of my ambition to become a song writer in my own right.’
Forwards – Tour Edition Double Pack LP and CD also features distinctive Camo themed cover artwork on both LP and CD versions with unique splattered Camo coloured vinyl for the LP. The CD booklet features lyrics for all twelve songs and new artwork and images.
