The Alarm Central

We are sad to report that Fan Circles – the team behind the app used by The Alarm Central, The Levellers, Marillion and many other artists has gone into liquidation.

It recently became apparent that the team were struggling to implement all the ideas and developments that could and should have driven the app in the way it was hoped when launched in it’s initial stages, and so (coupled with the impact of the global economic slow down), the company was forced to reluctantly close its doors and enter into liquidation.

During it’s near two year life span on the servers, The Alarm Central was able to create a massive Alarm related archive of exclusive and non exclusive online music titles and video / film content but the user friendly aspect of the app stalled early on making it difficult to navigate for both user and content provider.

Nonetheless, Central helped to generate some truly great ‘live’ fan / artist experiences in the beginning of 2021 and further into 2022, with some fantastic moments being broadcast live alongside the Big Night In and other such events.

Many other great times were had through they sharing of live music and chat during the lockdown but like a lot of things post pandemic, the appetite for that kind of interaction dissipated and the developer’s drive for progress began to encounter difficulties

Big thanks has to go out to all who joined in the adventure and helped to make it what it was, and although we have reached a point where the project has to be paused, we will be back to reinstate a new vision for The Alarm Central and it’s vast archive of content in the very near future.

We hope to present something to you all very soon that will allow access to the extensive Mike Peters / Alarm discography and film archive in a more user friendly format.
