Lyrics
:
You better start running The cops are coming There's gonna be a fight tonight ......... ........ Your revolution ain't no solution There gotta be another way out Your revolution ain't no solution You better find another way out Kids are always running Yeah Yeah They've got no place to go Oh No You better find out I say Yeah Yeah You leave them all alone All Alone You had better watch out And you had better take care And you don't wanna get Caught out tonight There ain't no rythm ........ That's gonna be a fight They're ain't no ...... The last people speaking There's gonna be a kill tonight They're all going down our street But there's no one ..... Your revolution ain't no solution There gotta be another way out Your revolution ain't no solution You better find another way out Kids are always running Yeah Yeah They've got no place to go Oh No You better find out I say Yeah Yeah You leave them all alone All Alone You had better watch out And you had better take care And you don't wanna get Caught out tonight Ain't no runnin' There's no one runnin' It's quiet on the streets tonight
Notes
:Recorded during a jamming session with producer Mike Howlett and the band’s live sound engineer Nigel Luby on 25th March 1985 (as quoted by Mike on the Absolute Flexi disc, although later credited as on 4th April in the Alt.Strength sleeve notes).
The session was conceived to establish whether the team could capture The Alarm’s live sound.
The first verse of this version, along with excerpt’s from Golden Earing’s “Radar Love” & Free’s “All Right Now” was included on The Absolute Flexi, a free-flexi disc included with the tour programme from 1985’s Absolute Tour.
Songs on this flexi were recorded on 25th March 1985 (as quoted by Mike on the Absolute Flexi disc, although later credited as on 4th April in the Alt.Strength sleeve notes).
