A Letter from The Peters’ Family
Dear Gatherers,
Thank you for joining us for our 32nd Gathering! – Y Plas, Cardiff University, 2nd Floor, Park Place, Cardiff.
We look forward to welcoming you to Cardiff to celebrate The Alarm, by the fans for the fans.
As most of you know, it was one of Mike’s last wishes for The Gathering to continue.
In his last few days, Mike spoke to myself, Dylan, Evan and Tour Manager, Andy Labrow, urging us to “Keep The Gathering going and The Alarm legacy. You can’t let the fans down…”.
“New Beginnings” start here. Ironically, it was Mike himself who designed the New Beginnings Gathering Poster back in January 2024, just a few months before he was tragically diagnosed with Richters Lymphoma in April 2024. On a positive note, Mike was very confident for the future and saw himself heading out into New Beginnings with plans for a global Alarm Tour and new album release. Even after Mike’s diagnosis, he remained positive, creative and optimistic, recording a brand new Alarm album, Transformation, touring over 40 shows and believing that he would make it through to the other side. We will always love Mike for staying so full of life, right to the end and inspiring all of us left behind to keep on going, to stay positive, to believe and to ‘Stay Alive’.
So together with you, our Alarm Family, we are all looking forward to honouring Mike’s wishes and keeping The Gathering & The Alarm moving forwards. Thank you for all your love and support and preserving the legacy of our beloved Mike Peters. We couldn’t have taken on this responsibility without you by our side. By the Fans for the Fans…

With special mention and thanks to Designer, Dan Shearn who worked closely with Mike on all The Alarm artwork. Dan misses Mike’s energy as we all do so it was fitting for Dan to take care of New Beginnings. Dan will be joining us on the journey of our next Gathering, Coming Home. Thank you Dan. Mike loved working with you so much.

Thursday 15th January 2026 – “OPEN MIKE” NIGHT,
THE GA-THUR-ING – Temple Bar, 6 High St, Cardiff 19:00 – Late
“Open Mike” Night is sponsored by Auden Guitars. Mike Peters played Auden Guitars for over ten years. Auden Guitars is owned by Doug Sparkes, a long time Alarm fan. Auden have kindly donated an LHS branded Auden Guitar valued at £1500. There will be a LHS Raffle on the Open Mike Night to win this incredible Auden Guitar. Thank you Doug and Auden Guitars!
Join Evan Peters, Gareth ‘Gaz Top’ Jones & Friends in The Official Alarm Fan Zone at the Temple Bar, Cardiff for The Ga-thur-ing “Open Mike” night of live entertainment, chat, and catch ups as the 32nd Gathering gets underway and The Alarm Family ‘takeover’ of Cardiff begins.
Throughout the Gathering weekend, the other official Alarm Fan zone at The Old Arcade (Home of the famous Mike Peters Mural), will also be primed and ready to welcome all Gatherers.

NB: Both Temple Bar and The Old Arcade will be open throughout the Gathering Weekend with each venue playing Alarm music all day and night!
On Friday, ‘December’ a Scottish band who play tribute to The Alarm in their shows, will be performing 2.00pm – 3.30pm in the Temple Bar.
On Friday & Saturday nights before the concert at Y Plas, The TAF bar at Cardiff University will also be available to Gathering attendees.
