Recording under the pseudonym The Poppyfields, they are at number 28 after selling more than 4,000 copies of their 1970s-style punk single 45RPM. Strength single is released. Reaches #40 in the UK, #61 on the USA Hto 100 chart, #12 on the Mainstream rock chart. The Alarm finally havea bigger hit in the USA than in the UK.
