The first version of “Blaze Of Glory” is recorded with Mick Glossop in Redan Studios, London. The song was written as a defense for their new friends U2, who were being attacked in the press. “Thoughts Of A Youngman” is also recorded.

Back at Good Earth Studios , The Alarm record a new single to capture the current sound at the time (i.e “Frankie Goes To Hollywood”). Alan Shacklock produced the track. All agree that it was a failed experiment.
