Mike Peters and The Alarm turned in a stellar performance at the Mall Of Asia Arena in Manila recently. The audience were totally overwhelmed by the band’s high powered rock and roll energy that included a Mike Peters walkabout and a storming set of classic songs. Absolute Reality and Rain In The Summertime were the high points for the audience as both these songs have proved extremely popular in this region of the southern hemisphere.
The band also managed to pull off a hastily arranged second show at a party thrown by the promoter and for fans who had turned up to get autographs at the band’s hotel. The boys made use of the hotel band’s equipment and pulled out all the stops, surprising the fans by starting with ‘Moments In Time’ before turning up the heat with a storming version of ‘Loaded’ which turned out to be another popular song for the Manila audience.
