The Alarm – Coming to America

Mike Peters and The Alarm have just played two incredible Bank Holiday Weekender shows in Glasgow and Holmfirth. Both received ecstatic reviews all across the board on social media, and now the band are heading to the US of A for Sell Out shows in NYC and LA.

It’s been an amazing few weeks since news of the June 29th album release date for brand new album Equals and the remarkable Record Store Day / 24 Hour Transatlantic Tour.

The first track from the album Beautiful was just released as a video premiere via Classic Rock and The Official Alarm You Tube Channel and also as an Instant Grat Single via all online streaming services including iTunes, Apple music, Amazon, Tidal, Spotify and Deezer.

Beautiful is already starting to get some early spins all across America in the build up to the North American Tour and release of Equals, with Lori Majewski at Sirius XM playing the song during her Lust For Lists Mix Tape Show and also DJ Jonathan Clark at Q104 in NYC. It would be great if Alarm fans could thank Jonathan for his support via twitter @q1043ootb and @jcontheair and also Lori @lorimajewski

Tim Pyles at 91X in San Diego also played Beautiful and re-ran the following session that Mike and the band cut live in the studio last year…. Tim would love to hear from you all once you have played the videos he made @thelocalpyle

Mike and the band had a great time in the studio with Tim and his team and you can see from the performances what a great show he has going down there in Southern California at 91X – an alternative music station that has been supportive of the band from the very beginning,

Over at Spotify, Digster just added Beautiful to their Rock 2020 playlist which attracts over 13,000 followers and on Wednesday Mike Peters will be heading out to the Bronx for a visit to powerful NY Rock Radio station WFUV to cut a live performance that will be broadcast on air during the day and also screened on their video platform Vuhaus

Pre-orders for Equals have already put the record at number one (CD) and three (LP), in the alternative album charts on Amazon UK and also at number 43 on the main chart.

Mike Peters and The Alarm have been performing no less than 8 of the tracks from Equals live in the current set, and it’s fair to say that all 8 have been greeted with the  same kind of positive enthusiasm fans normally reserve for the classics.

So, this trip to the USA has the potential for some amazing events and if you are lucky enough to have tickets for The Gathering NYC then hold on to them for dear life as the event SOLD OUT months in advance. At least those who have missed out on Gramercy Theatre Tickets can console themselves with the fact that The Alarm will be back in the NY / NJ area for additional North American Tour 2018 concerts at the Boulton Center, Bayshore (August 2nd), Daryl’s House, Pawling NY, (August 3rd), and at The Wonder Bar, NJ (August 5th).

On Saturday, The Alarm will find themselves on the West Coast for an outdoor concert in Huntington Beach, California at the Like Totally festival where they will meet up with long time friend and collaborator Slim Jim Phantom of the Stray Cats who is also performing on the day.

Sunday is the Gathering Los Angeles at the James Bridges Theater at UCLA, the campus made famous in Alarm History as being the site for the Spirit Of ’86 Concert. As in NYC, Mike will be performing a very special 30th Anniversary acoustic performance of ‘Eye Of The Hurricane’, followed by a full electric set with The Alarm. The very last few tickets remaining are on sale here.

All of us at the alarm.com look forward to seeing you in America this coming weekend and if you haven’t already done so, please pre-order your copy  of Equals now to ensure it is in your posession on release day June 29th 2018.

= Bring it on.
