Day Three: Wednesday 25 May 2005
There is still a lot of work to be done creating the recording side things. In this situation we are building the recording studio around the band rather than fitting the band into the studio if you get my drift. Martin Wilding has been acquiring microphones and pre-amps that will suit what we are trying to achieve. It is a process of elimination really and although we can see the beginnings of the plan coming together, we won’t really know until we start hearing some sounds back. While all this is going on, Steve and I with our assistant Ollie Powell, decide to set up the ‘Rehearsal Studio’. We assemble all the equipment amps / microphones etc. so that we can play as we do ‘on-stage’. We have even put up a ‘poppy’ back-drop behind the drums.
