Pre-Gathering Live Chat with “Ask Simon”
As we near The Gathering 22, we thought it would be a great idea for Simon to be available for a live chat on The Alarm Facebook so that folks can ask questions directly and a great resource for others who may have similar questions.

The Gathering 22, Jan 31st – Feb 2nd 2014, Venue Cymru Llandudno.
It’s only 12 months since the last Gathering? What a blast we all had. The usual fantastic mix of great music and fantastic people. I know that a lot of people look forward to seeing and catching up with old friends as much as they look forward to seeing what songs The Alarm are going to play. If The Gathering was held on the moon, I am sure the vast majority of you would find someway of getting there. It is all of you who attend that make this great rock n roll event what it is.
So that brings us to the biggest change. This year, we return to Llandudno. Leaving behind some great memories of Pontins. Some see returning to Llandudno as a return to The Gathering’s home.
It’s a beautiful setting, right on the sea front and a short walk from town. Plenty of shops and pubs to fit everyone in. Plenty of hotels of all standards to fit us all in. Close enough to some other beautiful North Wales locations if you want to get out and about (come see me or email me if you need to know where). I know a huge percentage of you have already been there, so I don’t need to sound like the Llandudno tourist board.
I look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones. I will have a desk inside the venue so, as usual, come and say hello. If you have sent me an email “Asksimon”, then come and let me know which one it was. If you need to know anything, just ask. I may not know the answer straight away but I will try my hardest to get you one.
