Article: THE ALARM SET FOR SUCCESS

Pop fans at last seem to be waking up to what a great band The Alarm is.

The group, from Rhyl, North Wales, has been booked as support act to Queen at Wembley Stadium this summer and their new single, Knife edge, has gone straight into the charts at 43.

So far, The Alarm who had a top 20 hit with 68 Guns seem to have gone down better in the USA where they have been touring for the last four months.

A film of the punk cowboys shot at the University of California in L.A. during their tour is being shown in a TV Special on BBC1 at 11:30pm pm on May 7.

That day finished on a high note for The Alarm they ended up jamming at their hotel with the lovely Britt Eckland as an avid audience.
